IMOD Director General Visit to IDF's Unit 9900

Israel Ministry of Defense Director General, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram visited Unit 9900, the IDF's Visual Intelligence Unit, accompanied by the unit's commander, Brig. Gen. S., and the Head of the Space Directorate within the Ministry’s Directorate of Defense, Research & Development (DDR&D), Avi Berger.
The Director General toured Unit 9900's space exhibition and was briefed on the unprecedented Israeli capabilities deployed from space during Operation Roaring Lion, as well as the new development programs currently being advanced.
"Consistent with the Israel Ministry of Defense's strategy, we are addressing near-term operational requirements while simultaneously charting Israel's space capabilities for the next 20 to 30 years,” stated Director General Baram. "The space achievements of Unit 9900 and the DDR&D during the war, driven by talented young officers and soldiers, are pioneering and combat-proven, demonstrating a rapid capacity for adaptation. You are Israel's space future, and it is incumbent upon us to provide you with the resources and capabilities required to develop the next generation of abilities and the next generation of surprises.
