IMoD DG, MG (res.) Eyal Zamir meets with Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Dr. Colin Kahl

Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (res.) Eyal Zamir concluded his meeting with Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Dr. Colin Kahl, in Washington DC.

Director General Zamir focused on various topics with his US Department of Defense counterpart, such as the need to act against the Iranian nuclear program, promote IDF force buildup, and bolster the State of Israel's qualitative military edge (QME). The leaders addressed Iranian actions to undermine regional and global stability and encourage terrorism against Israeli citizens. Furthermore, they discussed recent attacks against Israel including rocket fire and terrorist attacks.

Additionally, the meeting focused on deepening strategic ties and defense cooperation in various fields, such as R&D and technology, in the face of the countries' shared challenges.

Director General Zamir will meet with additional senior US officials at the Pentagon and the US State Department during his official visit to the United States. DG Zamir also visited the IMoD New York Procurement Mission and held meetings regarding current procurement plans.
