"Black Sparrow"
TM-91C

The AST#4 was successfully performed on November 1, 1999.

The AST#4 was the second full System Interception Test of the Arrow Weapon System.

The main objective of the test was to demonstrate and validate the Arrow Weapon System's initial operational capability, long-range operation and performance, and high altitude interception trajectory.

During this System Interception Test, a TM-91C target missile was launched on a very steep trajectory from a ship located offshore.

The Arrow Weapon System planned and controlled the interception mission and launched an Arrow 2 missile from its launcher located at the test range.

The AWS had fully controlled the mission until the interception and beyond.

The destruction of the target missile demonstrated the AWS performance.
